Blowhard, Esq. writes:
Sometimes at pagan shrines they vowed
offerings to idols, swore oaths
that the killer of souls might come to their aid
and save the people. That was their way,
their heathenish hope; deep in their hearts
they remembered hell.
Often the Manolo is worried that we are reaching the Sutton Hoo stage of things, when we should consider having ourselves buried with the artifacts that we will want to show to later, more civilized peoples.
