    Steve Sailer – smarter than me and always interesting to read but his movie reviews, generally, are pretty lousy, bordering on arguing for the “unconventional conservatism.” of, say, retarded liberal pop garbage like Elysium.

    I have not seen Roma but, it sounds like the art film version of the kind of patronizing movie Netflix picks up on the regular (Dumplin’, Sierra Burgess is a Loser). To steal a line from Richard Hell, bad movies typically pick our pockets by telling us how smart and sexy we are. These are a possibly new kind of bad movie whose purpose is tell us how moral and accepting we are.
