    Bad driving. Aggressive bicyclists. But especially people who go to the supermarket wearing p.j. bottoms.

    Thank you, epiminondas, loved that! And Sir Barken Hyena, I couldn’t agree more. Callow Man, if the worst thing you’ve witnessed recently is shoes on upholstered train seats then you are living in a mighty polite part of the world! Personally, I think the worst behavior I see these days is in the virtual public — online. I think a lot of people who behave badly online wouldn’t dare do the same things at a bar because they know what the consequences would be.

    This happened last winter, but maybet that’s still recent enough for you. . . waiting for the bus on Hollywood Blvd, the homeless guy sleeping on the bench suddenly gets up, adjusts the moving blanket he wears for a coat, moves to the palm tree next to the stop and pisses for a good long minute or two, while all the commuting, working people just anxious to get home, try very hard not to notice.

    Ina, great to see you here! I do have to say that people have been pissing on Hollywood Blvd for years and sometimes in the theaters … a friend of mine was at a movie theater in Hollywood years ago and overheard someone say “You pissed on my date and all you can say is you’re sorry?”
