Wow, someone who sounds like they were even more frustrated with their arts education than I was! Interesting article that very much echoes a lot of my complaints with contemporary arts. I’d be very intrigued to hear what schools the author was attending. It’s also interesting that he only touches on the money aspect. It seems to me like so much of where a lot of this comes from is trying to make the biggest, fastest buck you can, especially with the way arts education is viewed and funded these days.
