I’ll take an Airborne but that’s it. I don’t take any drugs when I’m sick — I prefer to ride it out. (I’m just talking about colds and flus, of course.)
I swear by Airborne as well, taken at the first sign of a cold. That + sleep + chicken noodle soup = all is well. But aside from the occasional reaction from eating some kind of tainted food, I’m happy to say that I’m hardly ever sick otherwise. All those years working in restaurants really makes you immune to a lot of crap.
I tend to go inert. I don’t go out. I try to keep myself from attempting anything ambitious — even anything intellectually ambitious … Loads of sleep whenever I want it … I take vitamin D and coconut oil. I’m currently battling a little something but I gotta report that in the four years I’ve been retired I’ve had very few maladies, just some very minor colds and flus. Quite a contrast to my employment days, when I got a bad flu every year and usually a couple of colds too. Retirement — or at least staying away from the office — is good for the health, I conclude.
I ride it out, laying around mostly. Catch up on my Rockford Files reruns. I think you need to get a little sick from time to time. But I’m rarely sick for more than a day or two a few times a year.

Something to help me sleep well is usually the best cure. If you can’t get any rest, you stay sick longer.
