Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, directed by the double-Oscar winner, is playing in Antwerp until 28 December, then moves to Ghent 9-19 January, before turning up at London’s Royal Opera, Covent Garden for a 2016 engagement featuring Renée Fleming.
I saw Rosenkavalier at the Met last week. They had subs in for both Baron Ochs and Octavian, but it was pretty great.

Lucky Fred! That’s an old Merrill/O’Hearn production from the 60s or maybe 70s I think. One of the oldest in the Met’s repertory. I love it.
