Blowhard, Esq. writes:
- Porn star Asa Akira on her two hooking experiences.
- Occam’s Razor is collecting all the major mainstream media reviews — positive, negative, and in between — of Nicholas Wade’s A Troublesome Inheritance.
- A phototour of some wonderful California art deco movie theaters.
- Are American covers of African books racist? What about South Asian books?
- An interview with the woman who coined the term “white privilege.”
- Should colleges ban fencing in the name of student safety?
- This story is bizarre. Author Isabel Allende doesn’t like crime fiction, she has contempt for the genre, yet she writes one anyway as a “joke.” Unsurprisingly, the book is terrible and both critics and fans are crying foul. Oh, and her husband publishes crime fiction himself. I’d love to hear their dinner table chatter about this.
- A hotel in China. Looks like someone has been playing too much Tetris.

I think the ChiComs stole that building from my university.

TWO hooking experiences? Pornography IS prostitution. I dare a man to look a porn star in the eye and NOT laugh when she calls herself an “actress”!

Most of us are fans of erotic entertainers around here so we don’t get much out of laughing at them no matter what they call themselves.

I wouldn’t laugh. Simulating desire realistically is no easy feat. An erotic performer who can convince me that he/she is genuinely aroused is a keeper. Most porn is unsatisfying because the actors merely go through the motions. There’s no real heat. Chemistry and “spark” in a porn scene is something to be admired.
