Couldn’t Do It Today

Fabrizio del Wrongo writes:

Beneath your perfume and your make-up
You’re just a baby in disguise
And though you know that it’s wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes

Heh. Yeah, I always wonder about this when I hear that song. Was there any sort of reaction to it at the time? I suppose now it would start a twitter explosion. It’s not even subtle, it’s just right out there.

Next up: why “Jailhouse Rock” is actually a song about prison buggery!

Number forty-seven said to number three
“You’re the cutest jailbird I ever did see
I sure would be delighted with your company
Come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me”

    Mmmm hmmmm.

I don’t think there was any reaction. Not that I’ve ever heard of anyway. I’m sure it’d send today’s pantywaists into paroxysms of rape-culture rage were it to come out today.
