This song and Loving Cup are my 2 favorite Stones tunes. Not too controversial to say that the Stones during this period were about as great as rock n roll gets.
Also, as a guy who’s played in enough cover bands to last a lifetime, I can say that the genius in the Stones’ songwriting is that any band, no matter how shitty, can bang out a Stones song and be able to have people enjoy it. The only band who stripped rock n roll down even farther, and thus even easier to cover (except the vocals), is AC/DC.
