Story of my life, right there.

Just returned from Japan , where we tried their variety of soju, called Shōchū. Same basic idea. Tried a rice, sweet potato, and cucumber. You can drink hot or cold and neat or on the rocks. For us, it reminded somewhat of sake/vodka with various flavors. Depending on distillation it runs 25-35% alcohol. I preferred sweet potato neat.
With various foods we loved it. Now to try soju .
