    I remember my first site of the Canadian parliament building in Ottawa. Raised with the cool Palladian splendor of Washington, D.C., my first response was “Disneyland!”

    Growing up in Connecticut I naturally went there on a few school field trips. Most memorable was the one in sixth grade, when my class got thrown out for misbehavior.
