   So when are we gonna start a charity to fund parades for these teachers when they’re released from jail?

   I wonder if the ubiquity of cellphones and text-messaging is one of the reasons these teacher-student affairs are (or at least seem to be) more common. Much easier to keep in contact and plot quickies when you can just text someone.

   What continues to amaze me is that people (not to mention the judicial system) actually manage to get indignant and upset about women teachers who seduce male students. It seems at the worst like a stupid abuse of authority … but it’s hard to imagine how any of it can really have a bad, bad, bad effect on a teenage boy. I wonder if, one day, one of these kids is going to write a memoir about what the experience was like.

   Poor kids: invited over for pizza, beer, pot, and sex. Clearly their lives have been ruined.
