From what I can tell, the great thing about this technology is the ease with which you can share data. So do you wanna remind people that with a simple tap their homemade porn will be all over the Internet?

Great YouTube comment: “the video is his wife telling him she’s leaving him and taking the kids. don’t watch it on the plane cuz you’ll freak out and get shot by the air marshalls”

Two hurdles faced by tech companies hoping to break into the mainstream:

    1) You need to aim your ads at least partly at men, because men are the early tech adopters, generally speaking. Problem is that the point of the tech is often woman-centric — sharing photos of kids, chatting with family members, etc. (Guys do that sort of thing, I guess, but I think it appeals to women first and foremost.)

    2) In the minds of most guys, most of this tech seems related, or at least potentially useful, to the world of online pornography. So every new innovation seems potentially pervy. Oh, I can take videos with my tiny camera, then instantaneously share them? SecretWifeVideos.com, here I come!

I’ve been messing with a blog post that touches on these issues, but not sure I’ll ever post it.
