Gainfully employed for thirty years, including as one of those high paid college administrators faculty complain about. Earned Ph.D. late in life and converted to the faculty side. Those damn administrators are ruining everything.

    It is different with kids. As a kid, I thought Robert Pirsig was a fascinating seeker. Rereading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance twenty years later, with a four year old at home, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t noticed what a rotten dad he was.
