    I’m an American, but I live in Istanbul. I don’t recognize this particular streetscape, but the general style is of course familiar to me. Kadıkoy is my favorite part of the city, though I don’t live in that particular district — too far from my work.

    I very much enjoy the architecural commentary on the blog. My grandfather was an architect, my father a landscape architect, and a number of friends are architects, so I’ve heard these sorts of topics batted around throughout my life.
