I don’t know what outré group I’m now associated with (hipsters? emo? Confederate Army?) but I’ve been listening to the new Chvrches* album nonstop. A trio from Glasgow, Scotland, they make danceable synth pop with great vocal melodies and hooks galore. Here’s the video for their first single, “The Mother We Share”:

*Pronounced “chvrches.”
