- So Yahoo! bought Tumblr for $1.1 billion. Like many Tumblr users, my main hope is that Yahoo! won’t ruin the service, i.e. let us keep all of our filthy and disgusting porn. But really, Yahoo! has no reason for being at this point, right? If my parents and those like them ever learn how to change their home page, Yahoo!’s traffic will instantly vanish.

Re: Yahoo’s acquisition of Tumblr: Maybe that’s why they’ve messed with Flickr, yet again; the stupid new Tumblr-like interface, and once again making it hard to find the functions we like, and no say in the matter, of course, despite Pro members like myself paying for supposed privileges…
Now they’re going and giving non-Pro users a free terabyte of space, in exchange for ads and less stats features; this will probably induce many people to quit their Pro memberships, and put up with ad crap… At least the one good thing is they wouldn’t be taking our money in exchange for ramming unwanted changes down our throats; I suppose it’d be slightly more fair…
What really drives me nuts about Flickr, is that the admins have no business sense whatsoever, and now, will have even less; they’re like a bunch of spoilt rich kids, playing with their toy…
Fuck you, Marissa Mayer, and the horse you rode in on, you stupid annoying cunt.
