    I’ve been there. The Sailers came from the little town of Wil nearby, and St. Gallen was Bright Lights, Big City. Some sort of Great-great-great-great-uncle of mine designed an impressive church in St. Gallen and wrote poems and died of consumption at 27 like a Romantic hero. Or so I was told — all the documentation for this was in German, so I’ll have to take my distant relatives’ word for it.
